‘I have been fascinated by drawing from a very young age, and it is something I have continually practiced. In recent years I’ve developed a process whereby an initial drawing is obliterated by pouring, splashing, brushing certain solutions into them. From the resultant mess, I can barely pick out trace elements of the original image, which is reworked in a form of excavation that focuses the mind on what is and isn’t necessary for the expression of the idea or emotion.’
