Gary William Myatt (b. 1963, UK) is a figurative artist living and working in London. Gary studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art followed by a BA in Fine Art, Painting at Wimbledon School of Art and a Master’s at Central St Martins.
Gary’s studio practice includes painting, drawing, sculpture and collage with these different modes of working often being combined to create unique collage paintings and drawings.
His creative process draws from many sources of inspiration both current and historic. It also taps into the subconscious, allowing elements of chance to enter the artworks, giving a rich expression to the easel paintings, 3-D works, mixed-media pieces, models and maquettes that Gary makes.
